Signs of Good Customer Service Spotted in the Wild
Wednesday, March 28th, 2012So originally, I had created this post and kept it in draft status with the title, ‘People that have done us wrong lately‘ to recant some tales of poor customer service. Instead, I’m repurposing this to talk about some good customer service.
Brad Smith has been doing handyman jobs around my mother’s home for about a year now and just knocking it out of the park. Yesterday, he started putting in a new backdoor to my home (a very nice birthday gift to Abbe and I by an anonymous family member… let’s just call her “My Mom”). I can’t wait to post photos once he has it all done – HUGE improvement to our home.
RDP Mechanical Contractors returned my call within an hour about my non-functioning boiler on a 50+ degree day. Bob was on time for my appointment to take a look at the boiler and got me up and running in less than a half hour. Bob is doing research on my boiler’s symptoms for me and made sure I had his cell phone and urged me to call at any time if there are any problems.
Both of these companies do not have websites, something I need to talk to both of these guys about – I’ve always enjoyed giving a customer a deep discount when they have wowed me with their customer service.
