i’m listening
After a few days coding with the new ergo keyboard and mouse, I’m definitely feeling a difference in my thumb and wrists, but my typing has slowed down a bit while getting used to the split keyboard.
Next up, replacing this 12 year old “chair” with something that actually supports… look at that cushion, I might as well be sitting on the floor!…
Right hamstring is still a little sore, but Abbe and I are going to do an easy 2.5 miles today – I love running when it just rained.
Recently, I’ve had a few things pop up on my radar with the same topic of enjoying the time you have with others. I need to stop putting things off that I think I will have time to take care of, because I am going to be here forever. First I started reading The Four Hour Work Week and a big part of getting to that new rich lifestyle is all about reducing your fears to kick over stones and do something. Then there is this video (linked in yesterday’s post) a TED talk by Ric Elias.
I am not a religious man, but I do listen to when the universe is trying to tell me something. I am going to concentrate on appreciating my life and recognizing the small victories and happy spots in my day. Also like Ric Elias, my main goal in my life is to be the best father I can be to my children – and I plan on showing Van Jr. and Vivienne that everyday.
Now, I better stop blogging before the phone rings and a client gives me a reason to put off a nice run through the lakes with my girl.
