Wait… did I just make this little promotion for an up and coming band into a money-shot metaphor?
Well first the bad news, despite an exciting game last night, the Flyers friggin’ lost again. Couple of observations: Andrew Alberts looks lost out there, Scottie Upshall played a hell of a game, Jeff Carter is fast as hell, the Sharks scored on consecutive power plays on the exact same play (the second time they optioned to the opposite point for the blast), and Danny Briere is the worst defensive player in the NHL.
The good news, my jersey arrived yesterday! It looks great and for $15 (+shipping) you can’t beat it. And as luck would have it, I got to wear it to the game last night and stand next to plenty of other fans wearing authentic Reebok jerseys and couldn’t spot a single difference.
Now, the great news – the Phils won game 1of the World Series last night! Cole Hamels silenced the Rays’ bats and Chase had a hell of a game (2-4, HR, R, 2 RBI, 2 SB, BB). The Rays showed up, but Cole was dominating and there really isn’t anything you can do with his change-up. I’ll say this, if I was a Rays fan, I’d be pissed at B.J. Upton not running out those two double plays he hit into. No excuse for that, ever … let alone the WORLD FUCKING SERIES!!! Let’s go Phils!!!

As an Angels fan the series is not as interesting as I had hoped. However, that said I am enjoying the end of this baseball season. I just don’t know if the Phils have the arms to compete with the bats that the Rays have and will show before the series is over…

kat – i was referring more towards the vapors as in fainting, but yes. the Vapors contributed Turning Japanese and then sailed off into the obscure sunset
Mike – yeah, I’m worried about our arms as well, and honestly I don’t see the shortcomings of the Rays bullpen many experts were lauding earlier. all the pitchers they brought in after Kaz looked pretty darn good to me!

One of my favorite ways to spell check is to start typing the word in the Google toolbar and look at the suggestions.
