woo!
Yesterday was a good day. I officially fixed the dryer (and have a load of toasty dry clothes on my couch ready to be folded as proof), I fixed the Airport Express and I’m now streaming music to the speakers wirelessly from my iMac in the office, I recorded videos of me playing Ask (slower) and Pot Kettle Black for Jan’s guitar lesson homework, Cathleen came over to watch the Phils (and give me a haircut), and the Phils won the first game of the NLCS!
I always get comments when I post a picture of the Phillies celebrating a victory. It’s usually a shot of everyone jumping up and down on the mound after a victory and some of you people (that’s right, you people) think it looks fairly gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that). I personally think you’re all a bunch of homophobes, but whatever… I tried to choose more manly pictures today…
This weekend I really, really need to get some projects done before the cold weather snaps in – a cord of firewood will be delivered on Saturday – I’ll be stacking that, the front and back porches need sealing, I need to hop up on the roof one more time to tar a couple exhaust fans and stuff, I need to get over to Mom’s and repair her door bell (I should be ashamed as a son, it’s been broken for a while!), and I need to pull the shitty stucco wallpaper crap (the previous owners put up) in my son’s bedroom down.

I managed to wake up for the game and watched in a semi-stoned state. It was amazing. Then I popped another Fiorcet and went to bed. Could be why my world is a little wobbly today…
The comic is great.

I think it’s awesome Lance Bass has time for both Dancing With the Stars and America’s Favorite Pastime.. they are almost one in the same, no?
Also, what the hell is going on with #34? It’s a little Karate-stand-on-this-driftwood-Kid… scary!

Did you notice how Cole Hamel took the mound pitch after pitch, sweat gleaming from strands of beautiful brunette hair and trickling slowly down his face and neck and……..Oh crap I forgot, you’re a DUDE! That was a sweet game indeed.
I have that crappy stucco wallpaper in my Buddy’s room and you know what is the worst thing about it? I can’t effectively tape proud schoolwork to his wall above his bed.

Megan – oh my god, the first time I saw Cole, it was like the first time I heard the Beatles

What a game – Hamels was on fire, and I LOVED how they made Lowe completely lose his composure. Of course Lidge made it exciting, but that’s all part of the fun, right?

Marty – I agree, Shane’s getting on by error seemed to mess up his noggin and he started leaving balls up over the plate and you just don’t do that with Chase and Pat up

personally, i hope that the Phils trample LA. They knocked my beloved Cubs out of the running for another bitter diappointment. OH WAIT, i got that. Didn’t I? I mean seriously, to be a Cubs fan, you have to be used to diappointment, right? Anyhow, I love the pictures that you’ve chosen. They are wonderful.

(sounding slightly surprised) Well, I’m gay, and I can look at these shots and just admire the sportive action.
We basically focused on “soccer” in Belgium, a sport where touching another player means you’re sent off the field.
I love watching the more tactile US sports, even though we’re often both confused why some moves are made, but hey, we’re catching up fast
