Dislocated Shoulder
I took my son to go see Cars on Saturday. The animation was incrredible as expected, but whomever at Pixar thought that 2 hours was an ok length for a kid film is an idiot. They need to cut out the usual 5 minute love song montage in every Pixar film and get rid of the mushy parts. That’s were the kids start going apeshit in the theater. Little Van did behave himself really well for the movie and had a great time.
I got to spend the better part of a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the ER at Mount Holly Memorial Hospital with a dislocated shoulder. I slid headfirst into thirdbase (I was safe), and instantly felt something not right on my left side. I glanced over and noticed that my upper arm decided to move down to my stomach. Both team’s players hovered over me keeping me still and luckily within about 20 seconds my arm kind of found it’s way back into the socket. That gave me some relief, but I was going into shock. My team sat me up in our dugout and threw a blanket and gave me water. I was feeling good in a couple minutes. I got to ride in the Medford Lakes ambulance that my son had so admired in the Memorial Day Parade a couple weeks ago. I’m really sore right now, but it’s amazing how much better I feel since yesterday.
