Here’s a list of good stuff in the past 24 hours…
- My grandfather is OK for now. We had a scare yesterday, he went into kidney failure and was transferred from the VA Home where he resides to the hospital. It turns out, he was badly dehydrated – the VA staff didn’t know the last time he had eaten or drank anything… nice. Way to take care of our veterans!
- Bubs got all A’s and one B on his report card! I was a little concerned when I opened it up. I do homework with him every single night and whenever he gets a poor grade on homework or tests, we review right away… but you just never know. My eyes welled up with tears when I saw the grades, I’m so proud of my hero. Every. Single. Day.
- Bill and I had a great meeting over our last tweaks for the work we are finishing up for EMS. Bill is super happy with what we are about to deliver to a really good customer.
- Marty, Bill and I had an awesome meeting last night over wings and beers for a really big and interesting project we will most likely be working on together. I was excited to introduce Bill and Marty – they are both bad ass photographers, both really bright people, and also, I had a really good feeling that if we could get Marty to work on a project with us (Marty is a UX ninja), the future could be REALLY kick ass for all of us.
- I was excused from jury duty. I absolutely do not mind sitting on a jury. I did once before when I lived in Georgia and thought the process was pretty cool, BUT, I’m self-employed and going three days without being able to work is just no doable for me right now.
- I got to visit both of my children’s classrooms yesterday
On the other side of the news, Abbe went home for Turkey Day and the kids and I miss her a lot already.

Happy to share your good news.
My good stuff:
* Heart has been behaving pretty well this week. Maybe my new meds are working?
* Finished my Christmas shopping and bought everything local to help local businesses and tax revenues
* My SIL, BIL, and my four fabulous nephews will be arriving for the holiday weekend in a few hours
* My kids were a big help getting ready and I’m psyched to celebrate with family this Thanksgiving
* My blog buddies Neil and Jennifer are coming to spend the first weekend in December with me. Our first meeting!
* I’m finishing up writing copy for a Web site and it’s been a great project, great team.

that’s a great list to be thankful for. i am so sorry about the trouble for your grandfather. that must have been scary. best wishes to you all and i hope yo u have a very happy thanksgiving!
