on mythbusters soon
Today shall be known as VD Day… Victory over Drupal Day… wait… VD… hmm. Well, anyway… I finally solved the last gotcha for writing the external authentication module for a Drupal website. When you write modules for Drupal, the actual .module file can not end with the closing PHP tag (?>), this (as I found out yesterday) will cause an error indicating that your module has already written header information and usually give you a blank page. Woo!
I’ve got some ZeroPercentCards work to do this weekend. I did a bunch last night, including conditional YUI DataTable row CSS selection… I know, down ladies… but seriously check out all that AJAX on this cardfinder, pretty damn sexy.
She’s probably gonna kill me for doing this… Recently, I reconnected with a high school classmate, Kate and discovered an amazing amount of coincidences between the two of us (we both sailed on the Chesapeake Bay as kids, her niece Katie is one of my son’s best buddies). We were friends in high school, but not necessarily close – Kate being a pretty, popular girl scared the ever-living shit out of me. One of the things we share in common is music and I wanted to tell everyone to check out her MySpace page and if you are in the Baltimore area… Kate will be playing at Leadbetters Tavern, go see her!
Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2009
Time: 10:00pm – 11:30pm
Location: Leadbetters Tavern in the heart of Fells Point, Baltimore
Street: 1639 Thames Street
Here’s a text transcript… Abbe is so lucky isn’t she? These are the times she must just say, “that man is all mine.”

It worked Van: I tossed my copy of “PHP for dummies” onto the pile of ‘not in your league’ books
It must have been a pleasure to notice that you currently share a love of music when reconnecting with Kate.
Somehow, it feels like Belgians are not into reconnecting: after discovering a few Belgian college contacts with a FB profile, most didn’t bother answering.
Maybe I scare people
I’m still trying make a funny/intelligent/special comment regarding your iPhone text transcript with Abbe, but after a couple of hours in blazing sunshine I’m still dazed and confused.

Van – Thanks for the shout out! I don’t remember the person you referred to up there, but I am sure she was very cool. I wish I knew her. Maybe you should have mentioned I am happily married for, like, a zillion years now. It is so very good to know you (again!) Peace to my brother from another . . .

It’s always fun to reconnect with old friends and find that there are so many curious connections. How far is Baltimore from you? You never know……
Best wishes
