apparently, Guangzhou is not just outside Newark

So about a month ago, I ordered a Flyers jersey from a Chinese company that was recommended to me. The prices were insanely low, shipping a bit high, but for a tenth of a price of a real deal jersey, screw it. The only problem so far is that it’s taking a really long time to ship it… I keep checking for status changes and it moved to a new city finally…

So, let’s see where this place is… apparently, Guangzhou is not just outside Newark. But as you can tell from the status thingamajob above, it looks as thought my jersey will be arriving soon.

Stay tuned tomorrow, should have a giveaway contest posted by The Hush Now… hint, it’s that kick ass CD I reviewed a couple of month ago.

I’m going to the Flyers game tonight. I’ll be monitoring Game 1 of the World Series via iPhone (as I’m sure many in attendance will be). I really hope the Flyers can pull out their first fucking win of the season. In addition, I do hope to see Riley Cote and Jody Shelley go at it for round 2, their last scrap was a good one. I feel like I need to flip Ziggy’s favorite blanket over if the orange and black doesn’t get their shit together.

OH.. and I like your little “thingamajob” presentation…

How’d you do that? I wish I were smart enough to do that kind of thing… it is fun!

Did the Flyers jersey already arrived Van?

I once used EMS for computer parts and was surprised noticing how efficient they were (especially giving the huge distance)

In Belgium, putting the words “promise” and “service” in one sentence would certainly induce roaring laughter – but then again, this is Belgium, home of 1-900 customer service ;-)

(I obviously meant “did they already arrive” – there’s no English spelling or grammar check on this Dutch Windows machine)

Is it wrong that I totally don’t get the CAPS LOCK page? I liked the upside down dogs though. I’m simple like that.

My cat’s favorite blanket is my Tampa Bay Lightning blanket. Maybe cats are innately drawn to bad hockey teams.

Am I a BAD FAN FOR NOT HAVING THE STOMACH TO WATCH THE PHILS IN THIS SERIES? I just suffered through too many losses over the years. I’m not willing to invest emotionally again, I guess.

Terri – he’s a bit skittish, but very sweet

    Chris – amen

Terri – oh, very easy – SnagIt

Peter – yeah, I need to be more patient, too used to living in my McCulture over here, used to getting stuff NOW

SQT – it’s not totally wrong, i swear

The Smirking Cat – if I had a Florida Panthers blanket, we would test our theory out and know for sure

  10.  furiousBall Says:

bud – don’t give up amigo, Phils in 6

  11.  Maddy Says:

Well I could have told you that already if you’d only asked, there again I do have the advantage over you as my brother is in Beijing and my daughter spent a year out there too. Looking forward to the comp – excuse brevity but I’m a bit whacked out on vicodin – or al least that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
    Cheers

Man – that’s a tough choice. Flyers game live or watching the Phils on TV. Well, here’s hoping that there are TWO wins to celebrate.

WAY TO TRACK YOUR JERSEY VAN. HAVE A GOOD TIME AT YOUR HOCKEY GAME THIS EVENING. BETTER CHARGE UP THAT I-PHONE.

holy crap I need a lozenge.

  15.  kat Says:

Dont tell my co-worker that today is type in caps day. I just broke her of that.
Herding thousands of wet cats thru the Iditarod race course (while it was ongoing) would have been easier…..

And my company has factories in China – I have become a whiz at pronouncing the names of cities over there. It’s still fun to hear my co-worker, (who still has problems saying her husband’s name properly) try to pronounce them.

  16.  furiousBall Says:

MEGAN – HEY THANKS A HOLE BUNCH

kat – your coworker sounds awesome, awesome as not my coworker

  17.  lime Says:

OK, JUST DOIN MY PART TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY HERE. HOPE YOUR JERSEY ARRIVES SOON. DUDE, THE PHILS ARE IN THE SERIES! THE PHILS ARE IN THE SERIES!!!! HAVE FUN AT THE HOCKEY GAME THOUGH.

That scrabble game… I can relate. And if it’s a choice between points and vulgarity, vulgarity almost always wins–I have a teenage son to horrify.

I miss live hockey. I’m definitely going to have to make a road trip this year.

Please stop bragging about your baseball team. It hurts my heart. *sob*

  19.  Carolyn Says:

I’m hoping to be out of work before the game starts. I hope no one needs to lose weight tonight! Have fun at the game…

lime – HEY THANKS A BUTTLOAD

Kerry – oh stop it, you’ve had plenty of championships between the BoSox and Pats. Although, I really was hoping to face the Sox in the WS, to be the best, you gotta beat the best.

  21.  furiousBall Says:

Carolyn – you could offer to sever limbs to reach goals, that should speed up the line

  22.  Kerry Says:

Our successes are fairly recent–I don’t trust ‘em yet.

  23.  furiousBall Says:

Kerry – you’re like the Gordon Gecko of sports championships, how many Lombardi and WS trophies can you water-ski behind?

  24.  Kerry Says:

I’ll be happy when the Bruins don’t suck.

  25.  furiousBall Says:

Kerry – I can respect that. I think they’ve gone downhill since they lost PJ Stock

  26.  mamatulip Says:

Sounds like your jersey would get there faster if it was coming from Canada, and that’s saying something.

  27.  Kerry Says:

Aw yeah, he was scrappy. Didn’t he play for the Flyers at one point?

  28.  Granola-grrrl Says:

I HOPE YOUR JERSEY GETS THERE SOON! I’M SURE IT WILL, AS LONG AS IT FOLLOWS THAT NIFTY RED ARROW; THAT LOOKS LIKE THE MOST DIRECT PATH FROM GUANGZHOU TO YOUR HOUSE! (“GUANGZHOU” IS NOT IN MY SPELL CHECK DICTIONARY!)

I THINK CAPSLOCK DAY SHOULD BE CELEBRATED IN TANDEM WITH EXCLAMATION POINT DAY!

The whole “when will the jersey arrive” story here held no dramatic tension for me, as I’ve just read your tomorrow’s post, when it arrives.

Which means I’m the Omnipotent Seer of ancient Celtic lore.

    High five for my powers!
