Porkadillo, The Song
Today is a tough one – Dad’s birthday. Tonight my home will be filled with my family and friends to be together and watch Darius Goes West. I’m happy to see everyone and I hope there are more smiles than tears, as it would definitely be all smiles with Dad there.
Besides the party, this will be a full weekend – tomorrow night Jan and I are going to see Built to Spill at The Trocadero and Sunday I’m going to the Eagles-Steelers game (another unforeseen benefit of the new job!).

I got a lot of stuff done last night – scooped Yogi’s poop, cut the back yard, weed whacked the back yard, taught a guitar lesson, cleaned the cat box, cleaned up the shoe and coat racks in the foyer, did some changes for the Battleship (Mike and Mike were broadcasting from my Battleship this morning by the way), recorded myself playing Big Star‘s In The Street for my guitar students (video above), got beer and stuff for the party, finished Eat, Pray, Love, recorded a riff for Porkadillo (that’s right I’m going to write a song based on a blog post – here’s the video of the recording… further evidence I need to stay busy), finished watching Stalingrad, and then watched the Phils beat the Braves for their 7th win in a row.

Wow, it is going to pain me to say this but…*taking a deeeep breath* enjoy the Eagles game Sunday. Very cool that you get to go see the game… you being an Eagles fan and all. (oh my gawd I feel dirty now… lol) haha Whew, thank God hockey is coming soon so we can NOT talk about this football thing hahahahaha
