The party was fun, here’s the pictures to prove it…
I spent most of yesterday with a sinus headache, but I did manage to work on getting myself setup to do video-capping for NitroVideo (NFSW). Unfortunately, it’s looking like I will have to shell out some bucks and buy a new PC – which is fine actually, I can finance the thing from Best Buy and actually pay it off in one month. This was surprising to me, Macs just don’t do video clipping well…. well, that’s not entirely accurate, there just is not good enough software that has been written for Macs that handle video clipping. I tested out Xilisoft/ImToo’s products on my Macs and they bombed out constantly or couldn’t get the clips into high enough quality for use.
Oh, the other thing I did yesterday was watch the Eagles stink up the field against the Saints. I’m not sure if I’m in the majority here or not, but Donovan McNabb playing in that game would not have made a difference – the Saints just have a better football team.
My friend Kobi from Haifa, Israel sent me a message yesterday on facebook and he posted an Orphaned Land (an Israeli progressive metal band) cover, The Beloved’s Cry. I hadn’t talked with Kobi in at least a few years, we collaborated together with Miss Volatile on one of my favorite tracks I’ve been a part of, Butterfly Dance (that’s me on guitar playing the part of Robert Smith a lá Killing an Arab). Kobi and I discussed a new song of his, Lonely Life – Kobi asked me to play a solo and contribute some additive parts. This might mean I’m coming out of retirement to put on the puffy pirate shirt again…
Viv was a little excited to go to her first day of camp… just a little…
Movie reviews…
Year One – sucked hairy caveman balls (in a bad way… no offense, Captain Caveman).
Up and Running with Cassandra – thanks Ryan, this is the database used by Twitter and Facebook, which means if you use it, you will make a gabillion dollars.
